ABOUT DR. RAVIN
GOAL

 

Various challenges come into our lives at different times.  It may be common everyday stresses (for example, difficulty making friends), it may be significant life events (for example, the loss of a loved one), and it may be related to neurological causes (for example, ADHD and depression).  Through skill building, therapeutic support, and a listening ear, Dr. Ravin works with children, adolescents, and adults to help achieve lifelong skills and improve overall social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

Dr. Ravin is a clinical psychologist who specializes in work with children and adolescents.  She also works with college students and adults.  Dr. Ravin uses a wide range of strategies and techniques to help support her clients.  Dr. Ravin primarily uses cognitive-behavioral therapy to treat presenting concerns.  She likes to teach her clients a number of skills (take-aways) to manage difficult emotions.  Dr. Ravin has been working in school settings since 2001.  When working with children, Dr. Ravin values collaboration among parents, teachers, and other outside service providers.
